Love is a magical feeling that impacts romantic relationships, friendships, and families. While people have varying ideas of what it means to love, there are some obvious signs of love, according to professionals.
1. Signs of Love Include Openness
Generally, in society, men have been told that they shouldn’t cry, shouldn’t feel fear, shouldn’t be vulnerable, and so on. One of the sure signs of love is when a man shares his thoughts, feelings, and needs with his partner. However, a man’s incapacity to be vulnerable isn’t necessarily a sign that he doesn’t love you, so having an awareness of the environment in which he was raised and the dynamic of his relationships with other women like his mom, sisters, or aunts is important.

2. He Might Seek Approval
A man who’s going to love you in a way that is healthy and unwavering is one that is also going to want the people who matter the most to you to sign off on and feel comforted by the relationship he hopes to build with you. Therefore, he will invest effort into building some connection with them as a result of his love for you.
3. Signs of Love Include Appreciation and Equality
When a man loves and respects his wife, he’ll most likely value her opinion or advice, especially if the circumstances are life-altering. While we’re all capable and entitled to make our own decisions, a man who truly loves his wife will consider her well-being just as much, if not more than, his own. This act may extend into sharing the load at home, financially, or with the kids.
4. Signs of Love Also Include Prioritization
Another sure sign that a man loves his wife is to watch the way he prioritizes her and her needs. Some families may rely on the husband to provide financially, while other families may prefer to have a stay-at-home dad. Either way, the most important thing is to prioritize each other’s needs, setting aside time to spend together, reconnecting, as well as time alone to recharge. However, someone who spends all their free time alone is not likely to have a desire to build a strong relationship and, therefore, might be accused of not loving his wife.

5. Signs of Love Include Feeling Excited
Generally, a man who truly loves his wife isn’t going to feel contempt regarding seeing her. Instead, he will actively miss being away from her. He will likely see things throughout the day that make him think of her and smile. And he will feel a sense of joy, peace, or excitement when the moment comes to finally see her again.

In many cases, a win for either partner, counts as a win for the team, and overall well-being of the life you’re building together.
7. He’ll Make you feel Stable
Another sign of love is stability. A man who truly loves his wife, isn’t going to leave her guessing about how he feels about her. He’ll consistently want to be with her and work through things, despite having a disagreement, or not seeing eye to eye on something. Even throughout the disagreement, there will be no question of separating or walking away.

8. He’ll Be Responsive
When a man loves his wife in a way that is healthy and respectful, he’ll be open to hearing her needs and wants. And he’ll be open to doing what he can to make those happen. Or he’ll be supportive and encouraging of her needs.
9. Love Encourages Growth
Not only does true love bring out the best in people, but it also encourages them to explore new traits and characteristics, further developing their own “self-concept.” When a man truly loves his wife, he’s open to growing as an individual and alongside his partner. This may look like healthier dietary habits, giving up old or toxic habits, and putting in the work to make build a solid foundation in the relationship.
10. He’ll Want His People to Like You
When a man loves his wife or partner in a way that is healthy and built on trust, he will hope that his family, friends, and colleagues will see the same wonderful qualities in her that he does.
11. A Little bit of Jealousy
Although feelings of jealousy can be a turn-off and also incredibly toxic, a little bit of jealousy can be another example of signs of love. Normal, even, healthy. According to Psychology Today, “from an evolutionary perspective“, mild feelings of jealousy can help a “relationship stay intact” by evoking a sensitivity to any possible threat to the relationship. However, feelings of suspicions are less healthy and should be addressed with your partner and medical professionals as soon as possible.
Above all else, remember that not everyone was loved the same way in childhood. Therefore, someone raised on survival, or “tough love” is likely to exhibit signs of love that vastly differ from someone who was encouraged and supported while growing up.
