Here, we will be talking about a unique purchase that you could do at the chain- bags of ice. Yes- the fast-food chain also sells ice, but we rarely hear about it. Now, we know it sounds a bit odd- but trust us. There will be times when you wished you had some ice handy. Imagine having a party around. Wouldn’t you mind some ice that would keep the beverages cool? Going over to a gas station or a grocery store can be a bother at that point. 

According to Mile High on The Cheap, McDonald’s offers cubed ice for a price of $1.50 per bag— and that’s a great deal. It should be noted that you won’t find the option to purchase ice and every location. So, ensure that the chain you are visiting actually sells ice- or it could get embarrassing (not really, but they might be confused). You can purchase the cubed ice either inside the restaurant- or at the drive-thru. If you are going to attend any sporting event- a bag of ice could definitely come in handy.

Now, the main question is- does McDonald’s sell ice at cheaper rates? For this, you need to check the stores that are around your house. Some convenience stores may sell it at a lower price- so it is always good to catalog. At several 7/11 stores, you will find ice at $2.50. On the other hand, Walmart sells ice at $4 for a 20-pound bag.

So, if you’re ever looking for some reasonably priced ice, Mcdonald’s might have you covered. Just don’t try and get any ice cream, that machine doesn’t work at any of its locations. That last part was kind of a joke (kind of).
