Being cheated on is the last thing anyone wants. However, this bride-to-be supposedly read her cheating fiancé’s text messages and decided to teach him a lesson. It should be noted that this story was originally posted on Whimm, and there’s been debate on how true it is. However, the message remains the same. Casey and her fiancé, Alex, had been together for six long years. She had never suspected anything was amiss and was obviously in love. And, she thought Alex was in love with her too. It was at her bachelorette party that Casey discovered the unfortunate truth about her fiancé. The day before her wedding…
Anonymous Messages
Casey and her best friends were out celebrating her last day as an unmarried woman in a fancy hotel room. Then, she heard her phone buzzing from across the room. When she picked up her phone she opened a message from an anonymous person. The message simply read, ‘I wouldn’t marry him. Will you?‘ Of course, Casey had no idea who the person was. And, she had no idea her husband-to-be was cheating on her, either! Casey’s heart was broken.

Cheating Fiancé’s Text Messages Revealed
As Casey read more of the messages, it was obvious at this point that her fiancé, Alex, had been unfaithful. The woman who had messaged Alex had sent screenshots of conversations between herself and Casey’s fiancé. Those messages included ones where Alex was clearly complimenting this mystery woman’s body.
Among some of the horrific messages Casey reviewed; “I wish my GF had half the skills you do,” one of the texts read. “I’ve never had this kind of connection before,” read another. “How could I cancel when everyone had already traveled to be there and everything was paid for?” Casey thought to herself. Casey was naturally heartbroken. It was at this point, however, that she decided to turn this negative into something positive.[1]
At The Altar
The couple’s family and friends all gathered on their wedding day. None of them had any idea what was about to transpire. The Bride got ready for her “special” day and she walked up the aisle towards her future husband, Alex. But, as she got to the altar, Casey turned towards all their loved ones and made an announcement; “There will be no wedding today as It seems Alex is not who I thought he was.”
At this point, Casey then read out loud the messages she had received the night before. Every. Single. One. And, the response was exactly what Casey had known would happen. Casey recalled the events that transpired next; “With each word, more color left Alex’s face. I let my weeping eyes rise and meet his, and he had not one thing to say. He stalked out of the church with his best man trailing behind him. His family looked on, horrified.”

Something Positive
Can you imagine the shock and horror on everyone’s faces? Especially the family and friends of the accused ‘cheater’? Casey went on to say that she loved her guests and despite how horrible the day’s events were, she was not yet finished. Casey announced something surprising but beautiful; “There will not be a wedding reception today, but instead, there will be a celebration of honesty, finding true love, and following your heart even when it hurts.”
Something to Remember
Infidelity does not have to spell the end, however, trust is the backbone of every relationship. Without trust, we can’t move forward or grow. I hope that everyone who reads this today, who’s going through something similar learns to have the courage and strength to leave when trust is no longer there. Rebuilding trust is a huge commitment and you need to be sure before you give anyone a second chance.[2] Never forget that no relationship is a waste of time. If you did not get what you wanted from it, you learned what you did not want. “They didn’t cheat because of who you are. They chose to cheat because of who they are not.”
