Father’s Hilarious Reaction to His Partner Giving Birth Goes Viral on Facebook

Childbirth is the most intense experience of any person’s life. It is the highs and lows of both excitement and utter fear. For the mother, the pain is unimaginable. For the father, it can be both a beautiful thing to witness and can also be intense in a different way. Two parents who recently gave birth to their third baby have gone viral after they posted the pictures taken while the mother gave birth. The new father’s expressions brilliantly captured the emotional rollercoaster of welcoming a new baby into their lives.

New Father Witnesses The Birth of His Third Child

These days, it is customary for the father to be present while welcoming a new baby into their world. Funnily enough, this wasn’t always the case. New fathers were not generally permitted into the delivery room while their wives gave birth. Instead of the support of the new father, mothers were surrounded by a team of midwives. They were experts in the realm of childbirth. No matter how excited the father was, it was seen as inappropriate for them to be in the same room and see their wife in such a state. Instead, they would wait nervously outside the room. Then, the midwife would come out to report a healthy baby boy or girl.

In the modern world, men are now expected to be as present as ever. They need to comfort their wife as best they can, even if it means just lending a hand for her to crush while she gives birth. In Arkansas, two parents welcomed their third child into their family. Brett Sillis and his partner Amanda Renee’ have now gone viral for the pictures they posted during the birth. The new dad, Brett, displayed some hilarious facial expressions as he peered over and watched his child enter the world.

Instead of being offended by his grossed-out face, Amanda found it amusing. She said she had been so distracted by the whole process that they only saw the pictures once they finally got back to their room. “We didn’t even look at them until I got back into the room, and I was like ‘I have to post these,'” she said.

New Dad and Mom are Finally at Home

Both the new father and mother are healthy and happy that their birth is over. It’s safe to say, when looking at the pictures, this is especially the case for Brett. They were given the clear from their doctor and took their new baby girl home. Amanda was so happy to be able to leave the hospital. Most people would agree it can feel like an excruciatingly long time for anyone to spend an extended time at the hospital.

Amanda explained how excited she was to be home. “Being in the hospital any amount of time feels like forever,” she said. “When they told us we could go we were so excited.”

Comments From the Internet

People from all over the world found the new father’s facial expressions absolutely hilarious. Their post has gone viral, with over 6000 shares, 7000 likes, and 2000 comments. Many people commented on their own experiences, and even other new fathers expressed that they felt exactly the same. One other father wrote: “Dawg, this was me.” Another mother commented, “And this is exactly why when my husband wanted to ‘watch,’ I clamped my knees together and told him if he didn’t get up by my head, I wasn’t going to push!”

Another person commented how her husband would only look at her face, “Lol! I feel all men make these faces. I just had our baby 6 weeks ago and my husband could only look at my face, my delivery was 15 minutes long and my doula had to tap him to look at the baby because he knew he’d pass out from all the “stuff” coming out. Congrats mama!!
