Meghan Markle Confuses People With Name of Her New Brand

Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, has made history in and out of the Royal Family. She’s the first American to become part of the Royal Family in almost 100 years, and the first to be a model. Most recently, she announced the launch of a new venture, but people are confused by her brand name.

Meghan Markle has become well-known since marrying Prince Harry. The pair have been known to do some great philanthropic work together. More than that, they provide one another with unwavering love and support. Through that love and support, the pair have ventured into business together, always working to help others and follow their passions. Meghan’s most recent announcement is no different.

Meghan Markle Confuses Fans

Meghan Markle recently launched a new brand called ‘American Riviera Orchard.’ Her brand will be centered around “lifestyle choices and cooking.” She’ll be selling various things, from cookbooks and tableware to spreads made from fruits, nuts, and legumes. Shes also planning to write a blog. Several people have been in support of the Duchess and her new ventures. Yet others have been left feeling confused by the mouthful that is her new brand.

A close friend shared with Harper’s Bazaar that Meghan Markle’s brand would be “accessible.”Something rooted in her love of details, curating, hosting, life’s simple pleasures, and family.” explained the source. On the other hand, Meghan’s followers have expressed their inability to understand why she chose the name.

What kind of word salad name is that?” Questioned one fan.

“Wishing Meghan all the luck but American Riviera Orchard sounds like a dog’s name at Crufts,” said another. Meanwhile another commented, “American Riviera Orchard. Not the world’s snappiest brand name, is it?”

I’ve been calling for Meghan to get back to influencing for years but could she have picked a worse name than American Riviera Orchard,” said another.

“I’m sorry but American Riviera Orchard is the clunkiest brand name I’ve heard in a long time. All nine syllables just roll off the tongue.” Agreed a final commentor.

Launching a Brand Close to the Heart

While the name of her brand is confusing and doesn’t exactly reflect the goods or services that Meghan Markle is offering, it does hold a significant place in her heart. The brand has named after the couple’s home in Montecito, a town that is reminiscent of the Coastal Mediterranean because of its climate.

Although the name holds great significance to the duchess, experts are on board with the opinions of fans, agreeing that the name is a little strange. Experts agree that the name is both confusing and “lacks nuance.” However, experts also believe that Meghan Markle will have no problem selling her brand because “She’s selling her brand and her personal style, her personal relationships with the consumer,” explained Jenna Drenten, professor of marketing at Loyola University. “The market that exists for it is a market for Meghan Markle. It’s not necessarily a market for lifestyle/home goods products.”

Meghan Markle’s Plans for More

Meghan Markle has been planning this new project for over a year, and the announcement was made in synchronicity with the release of a new Netflix cooking show that will feature her cooking and baking her own products. A move that was likely part of a strategy often used by the Royal Family to steer news and media attention in the direction of something they see fit.

The Sussexes in my opinion do nothing by accident and timing is often absolutely pivotal. We found that out one way over the weekend. We’ve now just been reminded that there may be more shots in their locker than some of us thought. And it’s no accident.” Shared Richard Fitzwilliam, a spokesperson for the Royal Family. “For years they’ve been unpredictable, but they have been predictable in one sense, and that is the unerring timing when they believe it’s beneficial to get information out. They don’t do anything by accident.”

Success by Name

If you’re curious to learn more about her products and upcoming additions to the business, you can follow her Instagram page. However, the comments have been turned off after an overwhelming response from fans wanting to join a “waitlist.” It would appear that although people don’t get the name, they do have a desire to support Meghan Markle. They’re “aspiring” to have a “lifestyle that’s curated by a celebrity. And people feel an affinity to that celebrity and want to be like them,” shared Mary Caravella, a professor at the University of Connecticut School of Business.

Meghan Markle and her husband, Harry, have been in the headlines for countless things. From their good deeds and kind hearts to the controversy they’ve caused by separating from the Royal Family. In fact, their decision to do so led the couple to go into hiding for a period of time because people were so angry and hateful toward them. However, they pushed through the adversity and embarked on countless adventures together, from business to parenting two beautiful children to living a life of undeniable wedded bliss, always unwaveringly by one another’s side.
