You cannot choose who you are attracted to, let alone who you fall in love with. Many people are surprised by the relationship they find themselves yearning for, especially if they are already married. A Russian influencer left her husband for his son and her stepson. He may have been 14 years younger than her, but they are expecting their second child together.

Marina Balmasheva is a 37 years old weight loss influencer, and she is expecting her second child. The interesting thing is that it was not with the man she initially married. Her marriage with her first husband, Alexey Shavyrin, 47, was not making her happy. When describing how the relationship made her feel, she said she was “not living but pretending”.
When Marina and Alexey got together, Vladimir was only seven years old. She helped to raise him along with the five other adopted children they welcomed into their family. One year, Alexey’s son, and Marina’s step-son, Vladimir Shavyrin, came home from holiday while studying at university. It was during this visit that Marina suddenly saw Vladimir in a different light. A romance started between the two, without Alexey’s knowledge. In the end, the influencer left her husband so she could marry her stepson.
Now, Marina and Vladimir, whom she calls Vova, have announced they are expecting their second child. “[We] are accepting your hearts and sincere wishes,” said Marina when she announced the pregnancy to her 620,000 followers.
Ex-husband is not impressed
Alexey is not happy about being left to his son. The arrangement has left him with a bitter taste in his mouth. In an interview with Mirror UK, he told his opinion of how the two got together. According to him, Vladimir had been seduced, or influenced, by Marina. So in a strange way, the weight loss influencer had influenced Alexey’s son.
“She seduced my son… He had not had a girlfriend before her,” said Alexey. “They were not shy to have sex while I was at home. I would have forgiven her cheating if it wasn’t my son… She was running to my son’s bed from our bedroom when I was sleeping… After that she was coming back and lying in bed with me as if nothing had happened.”

The influencer and her new husband
Marina has been candid with her followers, explaining the whole switchover from one husband to the other. According to Marina, Vladimir has “the most charming blue eyes in the world”. On the other hand, she openly scorns him for his clumsy behavior while pushing the pram of their first child, Olga.
Her followers have been supportive, in more ways than one. Many of them had reportedly told her to put more effort into her appearance so that her young husband wouldn’t leave her. “So many people tell me to use makeup – make lashes, and curl my pubic hair – because of my young husband,” said Marina. “But there is one thing – he fell in love with me with all my scars from plastic surgeries, cellulite, excessive skin, and personality. And I do not want to seem better than what I am.”
Marina the influencer said that she had mixed feelings of regret and gratitude after she left her husband for her stepson. ‘Did I have regrets that I destroyed the family? Both yes and no,” admitted Marina. “I was ashamed that I killed the stability of ‘mum and dad’. Did I want to return to my ex? No. Do I feel anger and hatred towards him? Not any longer. He is a good person and a wonderful father to our children…. How did children take the changes? Absolutely calmly. What [do I have] today? I am married, I moved to a bigger city, and I love and I am loved.”
