“Giggle Juice” Has A Full Bottle Of Moscato And Vodka In It, And It’s All You Need This Summer

Giggle Juice is perfectly named. Mixed with vodka and Moscato while sweetened with berries and lemonade, this cocktail is refreshing and ideal for a summer party. Its pretty pink color is appealing, and the sweet fruity flavor is delicious, especially with a sugar-coated rim and a lemon wedge. Plus, as lockdowns end, you will want to hold on to this recipe for the next get-together. Serve drinks at a dinner party, or their frozen version at a pool bash, or the popsicle version for dessert at a barbeque, or the Jell-O shots at a birthday celebration. The possibilities are endless. After all, friends who drink together stay together.

Throwing a Summer Party

This Giggle Juice recipe may inspire you to throw a summer bash just to serve it! Fortunately, here are some ideas to plan it. First of all, you can’t do everything. Enlist a friend’s help to keep an eye on the trash and check on the music. Secondly, stick to a straightforward, utensil-free menu for appetizers. If your party is outside, ensure the food won’t be affected by the hot weather, such as ice cream and chocolates. Thirdly, be realistic. Things will go wrong. Because food and drink spills are inevitable, choose a patterned tablecloth to hide them. If you’re outside, prepare traps to fend off bugs.

Molly Hartman, the founder of Glitter + Rye, an event-styling company in Brooklyn, mixes patterns and colors on her tables to keep them visually interesting. “If there’s a lot to look at on the table, there’s no pressure to serve a culinary masterpiece,” she says.

And here’s the best party-planning tip of all: Hartman quits prepping about 30 minutes before the party so she could prepare herself. As she explains, “It’s more important to greet guests with a smile and some lipstick than to have the table perfect.”

Giggle Juice Recipe

Recipe by Lauren Miyashiro from Delish

INGREDIENTS

  • Lemon wedge, for rimming glasses
  • Sugar, for rimming glasses
  • 1 (750-ml) bottle Moscato
  • 3 c. pink lemonade
  • 1 can lemon-lime soda
  • 1 c. vodka
  • 2 c. sliced strawberries
  • 1 lemon, sliced
  • Ice

DIRECTIONS

  1. Rim the cocktail glasses with a lemon wedge and dip in sugar.
  2. In a large pitcher, stir together the Moscato, pink lemonade, soda, vodka, and fruit. Add the ice and stir to combine.
  3. Divide the cocktail among the glasses and serve.
  4. Giggle juice keeps about 10 days in the fridge.

Frozen Giggle Juice

Since Giggle Juice is the perfect summer cocktail, there has to be a frozen version! There are two methods to make this. One, use a tube of frozen lemonade concentrate from the freezer section of your local grocery store. Using the package’s direction, add the necessary amount of water, then the rest of the giggle juice ingredients. Second, for a thicker slushy texture, blend all of the cocktail ingredients with ice. Garnish with lemons and strawberries and enjoy.

Giggle Juice Popsicles

Cooldown even more with boozy popsicles! This way, you get your dessert and your cocktail at once. Simply mix the cocktail like in the above recipe and pour it into a popsicle mold. Add slices of strawberries or fruit; this will make the ice pops look gorgeous. Freeze the molds overnight and enjoy the sunshine.

Giggle Juice Jell-O Shots

This is the perfect version for any summer party. To make these, swap the lemonade in the recipe for a 3 oz pack of lemon Jell-O. Follow the directions on the package to make the Jell-O, adding a cup of water with the power over medium heat. While the mixture is still on the stove, add the Moscato and vodka. Then add another cup of water according to the package directions. Finally, add the optional pink food coloring if needed.

Now, pour the mixture into little cups and leave them to set in the fridge for about 90 minutes or until the Jell-O is firm. Alternatively, you could place the giggle juice Jell-O into lemon rinds for a super cute presentation. To do this, cut a lemon in half from tip to tip and scoop out the fruit. Next, place the rinds into muffin tins to stabilize them and pour the cocktail mixture into the halves. Let them set in the fridge, then slice them into smaller wedges. These Jell-O Giggle Juice Shots look so adorable like this!

Change Up The Fruits

If strawberries and lemons aren’t your favorite flavors, swap them! What’s great about this recipe is that it’s so easy to customize, and there are several varieties. Experiment with raspberries, cranberries, cherries, blueberries, grapefruits, limes, pineapple, or any fruit you have on hand. Oh, and if Moscato is too sweet for your taste, try prosecco instead.
