Dad Hears 2-Yr-Old Singing Elvis & Records Cutest Video

Kids often pick up the habits and behaviors of those around them. When we have habits like reading, art, or music, kids will likely pick up those habits as well. Furthermore, when we are anxious or stressed, they’re likely to pick up on that too. With all the uncertainty and stress in the world, it’s important to have little reminders of the good in life. Giving everyone a reason to smile, a proud dad recorded an adorable video of his son singing Elvis. He then shared it to social media in 2019, so that we could all appreciate the cuteness.

Elvis the Legend

Elvis was born in 1935 and became one of the most iconic musicians of all time. Well known for his rock n’ roll hits, the singer was a heartthrob in his prime. Releasing his first single, ‘That’s All Right’ in 1954, at just 18 years old, Elvis eventually went on to make television and silver screen appearances. Tragically, at the age of 42, he passed away in 1977. Although he lived a short life, his music lives on in the generations that followed, including 2-year-old Daniel.

Capturing a Precious Moment

Steven Converse is a musician from Modesto, California and is also father to Elvis fan, Daniel. Converse brought the toddler into his music studio and gave him some headphones. Joining his son, in an adorable father and son moment, he played the guitar. Meanwhile, Daniel began to sing the Elvis hit, ‘Can’t Help Falling in Love’. The pair recorded the video to capture a special bonding moment and created an adorable home video. Steven then uploaded the video to Facebook where it quickly attracted more than 5,000 likes.

Sharing the Sweet Jam Session

He’s always kind of shy about singing and stuff, but this is one song he really picked up on,” Converse told GMA. “To hear him, just like, memorize the words and sing it by himself was… kind of a special moment for us.” Continuing, “Daniel’s first time trying the mic when he was still just 2. Begged to sing some Elvis. This video is still a daily watch for us at our house.

Steven Converse has chosen to encourage his son’s exploration while also fulfilling his own passion. Music has a way of touching people, allowing them to express themselves, and calm people down in stressful moments. Through music, and their shared love of Elvis, Daniel and his dad will surely develop a strong bond and enjoy a common interest.
