Martha Stewart, 81, poses for Sports Illustrated Swimsuit

At 81 years old, Martha Stewart confidently showcased her remarkable physique as she graced the cover of the 2023 issue of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit magazine. Setting a record as the oldest woman to be featured on the front page. The magazine recently unveiled its four cover stars, including Martha, alongside Megan Fox, Kim Petras, and Brooks Nader.

Embracing the significance of her age-defying photoshoot, the accomplished businesswoman described the experience as “historic.” Throughout the shoot, Martha exuded confidence, donning ten different swimsuits that elegantly highlighted her body, leaving little to the imagination.

In the upcoming Sports Illustrated Swimsuit magazine issue, set to be released on May 18, one captivating photo captures Martha Stewart standing tall in a vibrant red one-piece swimsuit adorned with a plunging neckline. Another image showcases the 81-year-old, dressed in a white bathing suit paired with an orange shawl, beaming at the camera.

The magazine also features a stunning shot of Martha gracefully lounging on the beach. Donning a tan, ruffled swimsuit complemented by an oversized straw hat. Reflecting on her remarkable experience, Martha Stewart shared that age doesn’t occupy much of her thoughts. But she noted the significance of being part of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit magazine at 81. Upon learning that she would grace the cover, Martha exclaimed, “Oh, that’s quite an achievement. I believe I might be the oldest person ever on the cover of Sports Illustrated.” Age, she emphasized, isn’t something she dwells on, but she recognized the historic nature of the opportunity.

Martha emphasized that age should not be the determining factor in friendships or success. What truly matters, she explained, is how people conduct themselves, their mindset, and their actions. Age, in her view, is inconsequential. During her appearance on the Today Show, Martha described the cover shoot as a personal challenge that she felt she met with determination. “It’s a testament to living well,” Martha continued. She urged everyone to embrace a lifestyle focused on health, and achievement. And not fixate on the mundane concept of aging, which she found tired.

Martha also revealed the efforts she made to ensure she looked her best in the months leading up to the shoot

She shared, “I didn’t deprive myself, but I cut out bread and pasta for a couple of months. I committed to Pilates every other day. I already lead a healthy lifestyle with a good diet, exercise, and skincare routine, but it was an fun challenge.” Martha explained. She expressed that it felt unusual to pose in her bathing suit in front of a large crew. But she playfully added, “It all turned out fine.”

Martha expressed her hope that her presence on the cover would inspire others. She aspired to be a source of motivation for people who see her at her age confidently gracing the pages of the magazine. In addition to Martha, the 2023 SI Swimsuit issue features other remarkable cover stars. Actress Megan at 36, transgender Grammy-winning singer Kim at 30, and model Brooks at 26.

SI Swimsuit editor-in-chief MJ Day has a vision

There is no specific theme for this year’s issue,” stated SI Swimsuit editor-in-chief MJ Day. “Rather, it embodies a vision, a sentiment, and a hope that women can exist in a world where they feel limitless, both internally and externally. The absence of a theme does not diminish the shared qualities among these remarkable women who are constantly evolving.” Expressed MJ.
