The legend of Audrey Hepburn began with Breakfast at Tiffany’s. This movie put her name on the map and catapulted her to international fame. Her character, the stylish and enigmatic Holly Golightly, captured the hearts of every young woman of her era worldwide. The movie quickly became a classic; thus, her beauty was preserved on screen. To this day, her legacy continues to inspire and captivate audiences. Additionally, her granddaughter, Emma Ferrer, looks exactly like her.
Not only was she a brilliantly comedic actress, but she was a catalyst for change in the hearts and minds of society. Working closely with the charity organization UNICEF, she mastered the art of using her celebrity status as a method to do good. She started with UNICEF in 1989 and was awarded a Presidential Medal of Freedom in 1992. Her granddaughter, Emma Ferrer, is not only the spitting image of her inspiring grandmother, but she followed suit in her path as an ambassador of goodwill. Ferrer spoke of her grandmother, saying: “She really revolutionized what we take for granted today. Which is to have a celebrity of her magnitude associated with a cause like she was. Emma Ferrer Looks Identical to Her Grandmother
Audrey Hepburn’s first marriage was to actor Mel Ferrer, and the couple had two sons, named Sean and Luca. After many years of initial happiness, they ended their 14-year marriage in divorce. Then, on May 1994, Sean Ferrer welcomed his daughter, Emma, into the world just one year after Audrey’s passing. This means Emma, who is an artist by profession, never met her iconic grandmother. But, it does not mean she carries no similarities. “My dad will sometimes laugh at things I do or say,” said Emma. “He says I inherited the “comic gene” from her.”
Growing up, Emma had no idea of the magnitude of her grandmother’s fame. But, she started noticing posters of Audrey pinned to the walls of her friend’s houses which signified just how famous her lineage truly is. “Slowly, I started going to friends’ houses and seeing that she was in a poster in their kitchen, or I would see her on a T-shirt or on handbags,” said Emma. Then she added a thought process that occurred when she realized her famous lineage: “‘I guess this actually is a bigger deal than I thought it was.’”
As Emma grew older, people could not help but notice how much she looked just like Audrey Hepburn. She has the same dramatically expressive eyes and luxuriously dark hair. Emma watched a few of her grandmother’s movies, starting with Breakfast at Tiffany’s. She noticed that she and her brother carry a few of the same mannerisms as the famous actress. “She has certain mannerisms that I can connect with. For example, this innocent look of surprise – a wide-eyed nature – she sometimes has. I see that in my little brother, too, and it makes me feel similar to her in a way, which is really nice,” said Emma.
