When it comes to memories from our school days, there are hardly any that do not involve our teachers in some way. Whether we hated them for being overly strict or loved them for a surprise outing, teachers were and still are a big part of what makes school enjoyable. They were usually the ones responsible for teaching us many of our basic values. It may have been discipline, or finding the subject we are most passionate about in life. As such, this is an appreciation post for all those teachers who give it their all to ensure their students learn while having the most fun possible!
1. When There’s A Will, There’s A Way
It seems like this aged teacher could not find a ruler big enough to draw a straight line. But, fortunately, he had something that could do the job just as well – the leg of a chair! Improvisation at its finest.
2. Favorite Celebrity
You might hate him, or like him, but you most definitely know of Nicolas Cage. It seems this teacher also has a fond memory of the classic actor. It helps that the teacher also has a fantastic drawing ability.
3. Is It Him?
You may have played the Where’s Waldo puzzle game in your childhood. For many, the characteristic Waldo with his striped red-and-white sweater, circular glasses, and red hat is the first introduction to finding a hidden object puzzle. This teacher makes it easier as he is pretty easily spotted in the yearbook.
4. Rick-Rolled
Getting a few extra credits can be life-changing for some students. So this teacher got the message across about how much they care for their students. What’s a better way to give a loving gift than rick-rolling the class for it? It’s a pretty meaningful song.
5. Personalized ID
We have heard about customized credit cards. However, how many of you have seen a customized ID card? This teacher seems to be onto something, especially, with his beautiful cosplay of Princess Leia from Star Wars.
6. Attentive Psycho
Christain Bale’s Patrick Bateman in American Psycho remains one of the most iconic characters in cinematic history. It seems like this teacher has a problem with their students not paying in computer class. So, he spent some time making sure they knew just what was at stake.
7. Amazing Art
Now, we have no idea if the teacher who did this has anything to do with art. However, what we do know is that he can draw with markers better than most of us can do with the most expensive art supplies. makes it a lot more difficult to clean the board.
8. Gracious Offering
Unlike the previous one, the student’s artistic and academic skills may need a bit more polishing. However, their imagination is second to none. It seems like the teacher appreciates it as well, after graciously accepting the offering.
9. Meme-worthy
The present generation is all about memes. But, it can be a bit difficult to understand for the older generation, like the teachers. As such, this teacher’s lounge has an innovative answer to get the teachers accustomed to the meme culture. It is a fridge dedicated to collecting the best memes about stereotypical sentences heard in class.
10. Re-enacting History
This dedicated teacher’s name is Chuck Olynyk. He is a history teacher. Even if history might be a boring subject for some, he does his best to make it enjoyable. Part of it involves dressing up in the attire of the period and civilization he is teaching.
11. Yearbook Special
One of the most fortunate things in a professional career is workplace friends. These two teachers seem to be a prime example of it. From their effort for the yearbook, it’s pretty clear how enjoyable their classes are.

Nikki Bollerman, the woman in the middle, was a teacher at UP Academy Dorchester. She had won a grand prize in cash worth $150,000. She selflessly donated it to her school.
13. Dress-Up For History
This history teacher has a similar idea to that of Chuck earlier. Here we see him in a full knight’s garb, complete with chainmail armor, metal gauntlets, and a stately metal helmet. This is how a love for history is inculcated in young minds.

There have long been doubts over whether our exam questions have any relevance in real life. So this teacher has taken it upon himself to prove the doubters wrong. When it comes to impromptu self-confidence, there are very few tasks that can be as impactful.

It is said that if there’s enough of a gap in technology between civilizations, then science can appear as magic. For this physics teacher, that seems to be the case. After all, some of the wonders of physics are nothing less than wizardry.

We all know about the famous “trick-or-treat” phrase during Halloween. This chemistry teacher took the trick to an explosive level. Apparently, she does this every year with a pumpkin, just to ring in the mood of the festivities.

This is the source of many nightmares for students. You study hard and give a good test. But when you get the test back, it is ungraded with a remark: “Write your name”. It seems like this Physics Teacher is fed up with answering the same question over and over again.

This artistic masterpiece is a collaboration between a teacher in Thailand and a student. On tests that are particularly hard, we may find ourselves simply drawing our heart out, because we have given up. So the kind teacher thinks it’s a shame when the works are left incomplete.

They say that the best way to teach a young mind is by showing them what they can do. This Art teacher is following the motto by heart. He made this ultra-realistic giant sculpture out of only sand. A true inspiration for his students.

Some have an innate talent for drawing. This teacher is definitely one of them. Apparently, they had gotten bored waiting for their students to come. So, they picked up their marker and left this amazing piece of art.

Apart from the times when we accidentally step on a LEGO with our bare feet, these are toys no one outgrows. So the teacher decided to share the happiness of playing with the toys through this brilliant costume. We like the smile the best.

There are few things better than coming across a colleague who is just as passionate as you about a fandom you are into. These two teachers seem like they are very big fans of the Warhammer 40k universe. Their discussions of “Heresy” should be great to hear about during the Halloween feast.

This picture is from 2014 when Madeline Scotto turned 100. Even at that age, she had continued teaching her elementary school students for Math Bees. She was the school’s first graduating batch. Unfortunately, she passed away in 2015. However, she had remained a teacher for as long as she could.

In such cases, we can find ourselves repeatedly glancing at the clock, counting the seconds as they tick by. However, this English teacher made sure their students gave their all till they could not anymore.

This is because people abandon kittens in the area. So, if she finds any, she simply brings them to class before she can give them better care.

If you are teaching History, you have to believe in the past to understand it. This History teacher is not letting a chance like a yearbook go by without putting it to the test. He does look quite regal, though, one has to admit.
40. Laws Of Physics
Science is based on laws (and some exceptions). Now the laws of physics have a certain definition for a liquid. Cats, obviously, meet that definition, as is proven by the slide. So, the Physics teacher’s conclusion really is valid.
41. Consistency
You probably know about dress codes for students in school. However, this teacher had a dress code for himself for the four decades he had worked at the school. At least for the yearbook, his hair may have gone white, but his sense of fashion never changed.
42. A Memento For The Future
Sometimes, life really is too busy and you can’t help but close your eyes in class. Fortunately, this teacher did not mind it too much. Rather, he saw a great opportunity to share a laugh with the class and the students.

Who said only the young ones are allowed to be cool? Moreover, skateboards are a pretty fast way to go from one place to another. At least it beats walking. This elderly professor definitely has the balance and charisma to make the most of his skateboard.

This may seem surprising, but teachers get a lot less free time than their students. So, when they take a class on a holiday, they don’t really want to either. However, they do it for their students’ sake. This professor even put in a lot of extra effort to keep the morale high during the lecture.

This is the last of the chalkboard masterpieces. The specialty this time is that the teacher adds an inspirational message to their drawings. The aim is to fuel the fires of inspiration in their students. The drawings are also usually of wildlife.

What’s better than one colleague who has the same sense of humor? Two colleagues who share it! These three apparently always come up with a collaborative set for every yearbook. From the looks of it, they sure are having fun.

It seems like the student was grasping for freedom as they neared the end of the exam. However, the teacher was more than vigilant and drew in a happy guardian! Hopefully, the student did pass the exam, at least.
48. Best Homework Ever
Coming up with interesting homework is just as much pain as doing it. This teacher seems to have mastered it, however. Now some of them seem a little bit too tough (or, impossible) but you do have a choice!
49. Making a Statement
Apparently, someone in the administration decided that it would be a good idea to hold the final semester exams at 7 AM in the morning. So, these professors are trying to make a statement as to how obscene that decision is. Even for them, it’s far too early to deal with these troubles.
