Model Who Called For Planes To Have Bigger Seats Hits Back At Trolls Who Told Her To ‘Buy Two Seats’

A model has responded to trolls who advised her to “buy two seats” after she demanded that airlines give customers extra legroom when they are seated. Gracie Bon disclosed on Instagram the difficulties she has as a plus-size traveler.

The 26-year-old was shown heading to her boarding gate in the video that split her fan base. She was then seen cramming herself into the roomy seat and fastening her seatbelt with the help of a seatbelt extender. “Airplanes should have bigger seats. So today I had a flight and even if I was flying in first class I couldn’t fit on the airplane seat. So this is a petition for all the airlines so big girls like me fly,” she said. “It’s not my fault to have an a** this big. Please just make them bigger,” she added.

Hundreds of fans responded by calling it her “fault,” with one person saying, “It’s your fault, buy two seats and keep it moving.” But in a follow-up video, Bon retaliated against those individuals, saying that “buying two airplane seats don’t fix my problem.” “Airplanes are too small for big people,” she continued. “It’s 2024, bodies are changing so planes should too.

Subsequently, she declared that she wouldn’t “lose” her behind to board an aircraft and that instead, “give me another solution or make planes bigger.” Once more, many were unable to resist criticizing the influencer for holding such views. “Buy your plane,” one user suggested while another harshly added that she should sit with the aircraft’s “cargo.”

Others did, however, concur with Bon when he said that ordinary butt-sized people hardly had enough room on airplanes. “This is true,” commented one Instagrammer under the video and this user also agreed stating: “My butt not even as big as hers and I be needing half of the other seat… my hips be on top of the other person next to me…. Seats are just small.” For years, there has been disagreement about whether bigger persons should pay for an additional airline seat or receive one for free.

As one expert stated it was her human right to obtain what she wants, a plus-size influencer in 2023 is stepping up her demands that airlines abandon their “discriminatory” practices and grant overweight travellers extra seats for free.
