If reports are anything to go by, Johnny Depp is soon going to be making a comeback to Hollywood. Post-trial, Depp could be roped into Beetlejuice 2. This came to the forefront of social media when fans went on to flood it. The source came from a claim where they noticed the name of the actor on a call sheet.
This would have stayed hidden if not for the work of a few diligent fans. As it stands, the movie could be set for release in 2025 on Google. Depp could be joined by Winona Ryder and Michael Keaton. This would be the second time that the legendary actors came together for the role. The rumors about the movie began amidst the court case.
The first Beetlejuice movie was a horror comedy starring Alec Baldwin and Geena Davis. They played a couple who died and came back to life as ghosts who tried to keep a family out of their home. With a slight chance of Johnny Depp being a part of Beetlejuice 2, fans were naturally excited. One fan stated, “Thrilled to see Johnny Depp added to the cast of Beetlejuice 2.” Another fan stated, “I’m happy for Johnny! Robert Downey Jr. wants Johnny for the next Sherlock Holmes.”

Johnny Depp Could Be Acting Alongside Ryder and Keaton In Beetlejuice 2
Yet, some film fans were pretty skeptical about this rumor. One fan, however, was skeptical:
“So you people did a Google search for Beetlejuice 2, saw his name pop up, and think that means he got cast in it? LMAO! I can see why you stand with him.”
One of Johnny Depp’s potential castmates could be Winona Ryder. For those unaware, Ryder and Depp were fiances for three years back in 1990. And in the current case, she has been defending him throughout. She could possibly reprise her role as goth Lydia Deetz.
Back in 2020, Ryder had mentioned in her court appearance, “I truly and honestly only know him as a really good man- an incredibly loving, extremely caring guy who was so very protective of me and the people that he loves, and I felt so very, very safe with him. I do not want to call anyone a liar but from my experience of Johnny, it is impossible to believe that such horrific allegations are true. I find it extremely upsetting, knowing him as I do.”
Regarding her role in Beetlejuice 2, Ryder was quite excited. “I’m in! I’m definitely excited and I’m really hopeful that it’ll happen. The only way we would do it is if everything was perfect and we had all the people- obviously Michael and obviously Tim.”
If Johnny Depp were to actually be a part of Beetlejuice 2, it would be his 8th movie with Tim Burton.
