Dolly wasn’t so sure about this, seeing it as an honor she hadn’t earned. Parton felt there were other artists who deserved the spot more than she did, who had been in the running for longer. “I just didn’t feel like I had earned it,” she said to the presenters of The Host. “But they explained to me why I was in it and all that. So, I said, ‘Well, if you insist on giving it to me, I’ll take it.'” She added: “But if I’m gonna be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, I’m gonna have to do something to earn it.”
Dolly Parton is not only a musician who inspires the hearts of many people, but she is also a humanitarian doing her part in improving the lives of the disadvantaged. Her philanthropic activities included the Dollywood foundation, which provides education and literacy programs for children and families in need.

According to reports, Dolly Parton is trying to rope in none other than Mick Jagger, although that is still to be confirmed. Dolly said, “I’m doing my best to try to get him on, but I did his song anyway.”
