A letter to my dear mom, a reminder of what I hope she already knows. Every single thing you do from the dreary tasks that we all wish to ignore, to every effort you make to ensure my life and my siblings’ lives are better. The selfless continuous acts you perform every single day putting your family’s needs before yours. Always having, or rather making the time to listen and truly hear what we have to say no matter how big or small the news is; you, my dear mom are always, always there. Thank you for your consistent unconditional love.
Dear mom, I hope you know I’m sorry
I am sorry for being that selfish person and not taking the time and making an effort to listen to your advice. For being rude and argumentative. And for making poor decisions against your wise advice. For this, I am sorry, my dear mom. For this, I will take heed of the lessons you have taught me about doing the right thing and to be the best possible form of me. You, my dear mom, are my eternal inspiration.
I hope you know your love inspires me
Your zest for life is catchy and inspires so many around you. All forms of love just radiate from being in your presence. Your deep love and connection to your family is something to truly admire. And so, I can only wish for this in my future when I one day have children of my own. Your love and passion you have for Dad are immeasurable and inspirational for what marriage is meant to be. And, I can only hope that I will be a dear mom to a child as you are to me.
I hope you know that you are my biggest role model and hero
Did you know that I truly have looked up to you since I was a young girl? Now, as I grow older, I realize and value how fortunate I am to have a woman such as you in my life. The words, strong, independent, confident, loving, supportive, nurturing and so many other words only describe a tiny bit of how wonderful a dear mom you are.
Your essence of being a woman is what I aspire to reach as a woman and a mother in the future. Without your guidance and advice, I would be so truly lost. Remember that even though I sometimes don’t take your advice, you still allow me the freedom to make my own mistakes, and then you are there for me yet again when I need ‘fixing.’
Dear Mom, I hope you know that you are my best friend
Thank you for being the person, the friend, the dear mom, the consistent guide in my life. Always there to listen and to give good advice. I hope you know that I don’t know where I would be today if I couldn’t count on you to be there for me no matter the time of the day – you are always there. And, I hope you know that I am here for you — until the very end.
This tribute to you is to put it out there to you that I am here for you always, right to the very end. I commit to you that I will be there for you, just as you have always been there for me for all these years to love, cry, laugh, listen or just to sit quietly as a supportive presence next to you, today, tomorrow and all the next days right to the very end. Dear mom, I dread to even consider life without you, and it is unimaginable. The greatest gift you have given me is life and that you are, my dear mom. Thank you for being you, thank you for everything.
