Needless to say, the staff at the check-out counter noticed what was going on, and then went on to contact the police. The police took in the couple and started interrogating them. The Ryanair desk manager stated that everyone around them was in shock at the event. “We’ve never seen anything like this. We couldn’t believe what we were seeing.”
Later, the Israel Airports Authority clarified that the couple had arrived at the Terminal after the counter for check-in was closed. Since they were apparently in a hurry, they wanted to deal with the security hassle and therefore left the baby on the conveyor belt.
