Actors Amber Heard and Johnny Depp had a fairytale romance that quickly became volatile. As such, the pair would end up in court in one of the most watched and closely followed defamation cases in U.S. history. Following the case, the actress went to Spain searching for a new life while the dust settled. However, in a strange twist, Depp announces his plans to visit Spain for filming, and the former Aquaman actress is caught wind of the news.

Amber Heard met Johnny Depp in 2009, and the pair began dating two years later during filming of The Rum Diary, an adaptation of a book by Hunter S. Thompson. The most watched and reported trial in U.S. history, streaming on Netflix, shows the pair encountered several bizarre or off-putting moments throughout their union. Purportedly, Amber Heard posted an article in the Washington Post that addressed some of her past trauma. While she didn’t name Johnny Depp, his lawyers argued the article falsely implied that he’d abused her during their marriage. As a result, the actor sued Amber Heard for defamation.
