Amber Heard is ‘broke’ due to mounting legal fees, lavish spending: sources

Since the conclusion of the Johnny Depp and Amber Heard defamation case, we all know that Amber now owes Johnny just over $10million. According to sources Amber is now “broke” thanks to the legal fees from the case, and lavish spending. Amber’s lawyer made an appearance on the TODAY show, where she had an exclusive interview highlighting that Amber was “demonized,” in court.

Amber Heard, “Broke

Amber’s lawyer is a woman named Elaine Bredehoft. She had an exclusive interview on the TODAY show where she was able to explain why Amber lost the case, from their perspective. Bredehoft claims that the courtroom allowed certain things to happen that confused the jury. She says that “an enormous amount of evidence” was suppressed that led the jury to believe that Amber was not being truthful, even though there was a lot of evidence put forward to prove otherwise.

The host on the TODAY show asked Bredehoft if Amber can pay the money she owes Johnny, and Bredehoft replied: “Oh, no, absolutely not.”  The lawyer attests that her poor financial situation is thanks to the legal fees she has to pay, but some sources have spoken about Amber spending her money lavishly on travel, clothes, wine, and more.

The jury listened intently to the arguments put against both parties. Bredehoft is convinced that Amber was “demonized,” meaning she was made to seem like the wrongdoer. According to her, evidence was kept away that would have supported her claim.

“That’s because she was demonized here,” said Bredehoft. “A number of things were allowed in this court that should not have been allowed, and it caused the jury to be confused.”

Bredehoft spoke about what went down in the courtroom from her perspective.

“Really what happened here is it’s a tale of two trials. Johnny Depp brought a suit in the UK for the same case,” Bredehoft said. “The burden of proof was easier for him there, The Sun had to actually prove that it [labeling Johnny Depp a ‘wife beater’] was true. And the court found there – and we weren’t allowed to tell the jury this – but the court found that Mr. Depp had committed at least 12 acts of domestic violence, including sexual violence against Amber. “So what did Depp’s team learn from this? Demonize Amber, and suppress the evidence. “We had an enormous amount of evidence that was suppressed in this case that was in the U.K. case. In the U.K. case when it came in, Amber won, Mr. Depp lost.”

Typically, the jury is not allowed to look at social media during the court case. Bredehoft thinks that the fact that Johnny was applauded, and Amber had received constant bettering from the media, had a great influence on the jury’s decision.

“There’s no way they couldn’t have been influenced by it, and it was horrible,” she said. “It really, really was lopsided. It’s like the Roman Colosseum how they view this whole case. I was against cameras in the courtroom, and I went on record with that and had argued against it because of the sensitive nature of this, but it made it a zoo.”

Johnny Depp & Amber Heard Speak Their Truths

Johnny Depp is adamant that he spoke his truth, and he says he did so to set an example for his children.

“From the very beginning, the goal of bringing this case was to reveal the truth, regardless of the outcome,” stated Johnny Depp. “Speaking the truth was something that I owed to my children and to all those who have remained steadfast in their support of me. I feel at peace knowing I have finally accomplished that.”

Amber stated: “The disappointment I feel today is beyond words. I’m heartbroken that the mountain of evidence still was not enough to stand up to the disproportionate power, influence, and sway of my ex-husband.”
