Sir Elton John is arguably one of the most iconic superstars in history. Sadly, he suffered from an eye infection in July, which severely disrupted the production of his current projects.

“I unfortunately lost my eyesight in my right eye in July because I had an infection in the south of France and it’s been four months now since I haven’t been able to see, and my left eye is not the greatest,” he explained.

On the Mend
Sir Elton John was seemingly on the mend following an eye in September. “As some of you may know I have had issues and now I have lost my sight“, he said during a gala performance of his new musical.
“I haven’t been able to see the performance but I have enjoyed it. It’s an extremely slow process and it will take some time before sight returns to the impacted eye.” He also paid a heartwarming tribute to his husband for, “who has been my rock.”
