Near Jaisalmer, you can ride a camel into the sand dunes and spend the night under the stars. The silence out here is unreal, broken only by camel bells and the wind. Local guides cook traditional meals over open fires while telling stories. You can sleep in a simple tent or even right on a blanket under the sky. Sunsets turn the dunes orange and pink, and the mornings are cool and peaceful. It’s slow, grounding, and totally different from the chaos of India’s cities.
