When they failed to board their 7:00 AM flight, concerns arose among their family and friends. The following day, a hiker discovered their bodies at the summit of Bell Mountain, near the North Carolina border, approximately 117 miles northeast of the airport.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) initiated a probe into the brothers’ deaths. Preliminary findings suggested a possible murder-suicide, though autopsies are pending further forensic tests before confirming the cause of death.
