Madonna has been a Music icon for many years now. She has a talent for many styles of music and is beloved by her fans. This singer-songwriter is 63 years old, but the amount of work she has done to her face is astounding. In some pictures, she does not look a day older than 25. With the upcoming Grammy awards, she released a video that left her followers feeling “unsettled.”
Madonna Gone Viral
The video that Madonna posted on TikTok was an interesting one for sure. One thing can be confirmed, her fans do not usually look to her for scary content, but rather her music as an uplifting source of energy and entertainment. One commenter had this to say after watching her video: “Great! How am I supposed to close my eyes and fall asleep now!?” and another said; “This honestly scared me I’m not gonna lie.”
You must be curious by now. So, let’s get into the details of the clip. She was dressed in a black sheer top with bulky silvery chains hanging around her neck. Madonna also had her hair up in four braids, and her face was adorned with minimal makeup that highlighted her puffy lips. She seems to appreciate her lips a lot because she got a closeup of them put to the camera. In the background, you could hear her hit single “Frozen” playing. Madonna had a blank expression on her face, and she looked straight into the camera. She brought the camera right up and personal until her lips were taking up most of the screen, then she leaned back into her chair silently. Her actions in the clip confused her fans, to put it lightly and many of them had a lot to say about her appearance.

The Material Girl
The 63 -year old singer is famous for her song: “Material Girl” and she seems to have taken this to the next extreme. This is almost to be expected because of the mainstream media’s judgment of the aging woman. On one side of the coin, she is being ridiculed for the natural signs of aging, even though this is a fate that we all face eventually. On the other side, she is scorned for having plastic surgery and Botox. The cycle is ever continued, but Madonna has not made things easier for herself with her latest TikTok video.
Madonna is just as famous as she was in her youth, but there are many of her fans that feel like there is something amiss with this celebrity. Her recent post has facilitated this idea. She has a whopping 1.6 million followers on TikTok alone, but the app itself has about one billion users, and all of them would have been able to see her video on their “For You” page.

Madonna’s Concerned Critics
As you can only imagine, the Grammy award winner left her fans in an uproar after she posted the video. There were naturally a lot of people criticizing her for how she looked, feeling that she has had far too much work done to her face. Here are some of the top comments pertaining to her looks that we found:
“Y’all need to stop lying to Madonna and saying she looks good for her age. She does not. I think if she just let her regular, beautiful face age gracefully, she would be straight. This extra sh** is a no.” Said one commenter, who seems to feel strongly against plastic surgery or injectables. Another said, “Madonna refused to age gracefully. It’s such a disappointment coming from a fan such as myself…smh..”
Madonna has many fans and some of them shared their disappointment in their idol for not accepting that age is a natural phenomenon. One commenter said, “I’ve loved Madonna since I was little … huge fan… love her … but this is a hard pass… what has she done to herself?” and lastly, another fan said this; “I’m just going to remember how fabulous she was in the 90s. She was an icon,”
She has since removed the video from her TikTok page because she was receiving too much negative backlash. This does not mean that she is avoiding social media altogether, because she has been posting some fun stuff since her “unsettling” video was removed.
