Over the years, Johnny Depp has made quite the name himself as an actor. He’s starred in a number of famous films from family-friendly, to dramas and of course horror. These include (to name a few) Pirates of the Caribbean, What’s Eating Gilbert Grape, Benny and Joon, and Nightmare on Elm Street. He works closely with the director Tim Burton, and together they have created some masterpieces, like a Nightmare Before Christmas, and Edward Scissor Hands. With so many fans, it is no wonder his latest debacle has made the headlines. Remember that defamation case he has against Amber Heard? Well, it seems as if the tables have turned in court after texts from Johnny Depp to his best friend were leaked.
Johnny Depp’s Text
The trial was well underway. All evidence was being laid out to be cross-examined. This was when some shocking revelations came to light. Johnny Depp had sent some text messages a few years back to his best friend, Isaac Baruch, and they are now being used against him. His words were harsh. Many people who have read it since then have reported a number of contradicting opinions.
The text from Johnny Depp to Baruch read that he hoped Heard’s “rotting corpse is decomposing in the f**king trunk of a Honda Civic.” Another text read, “That c**t ruined such a f**king cool life we had for a while.”

The Tension Between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard Explained
Some of you might be wondering what all this fuss is about. So let’s get into some background of what caused this tension between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard. In 2012 Head and Depp got together, but they had actually met in 20011 on set for the film The Rum Diary. They tied the knot in 2015, but what shocked the world was that 15 months later, they parted ways and got divorced. This might seem like the norm when it comes to celebrity marriages. But, the difference here was that Heard claimed that she had been a victim of domestic violence, and she was taking him to court.
Heard filed for a restraining order along with the divorce. Saying that Johnny Depp had attacked her “violently,” and according to her report, he attacked her with “extreme force.” Apparently even throwing his mobile phone at her face. She included in her description that used “excessive emotional, verbal and physical abuse” against her, as well as “angry, hostile, humiliating and threatening assaults”.
Johnny Depp denied the allegations. But, the judge did grant the restraining order against him. Hours after, the two actually had got together to discuss some things. They released a joint statement announcing they had let the dispute between them go, and they had sorted out their dispute. The statement was as follows;
“Our relationship was intensely passionate and at times volatile, but always bound by love. Neither party has made false accusations for financial gain. There was never any intent of physical or emotional harm.” Amber was given a divorce settlement of $7million, and she promised to donate that money to the American Civil Liberties Union. But, Depp doubts such donations ever happened.

Career Changing Effects For Johnny
Amber Heard went to the next level in an interview with the Washington Post, where she told them she had been a victim of “sexual violence.” This was in 2018, and as a result, Johnny Depp was asked to resign from the film, Fantastic Beasts 3. “I wish to let you know that I have been asked to resign by Warner Bros from my role as Grindelwald in Fantastic Beasts and I have respected and agreed to that request,” said Depp.

So many people have been affected by this malicious lie that Amber started and created and it's got out the door and around the world. And Johnny and his family have been completely wrapped by this stuff, it's not fair, what she did, it's not right."💔 pic.twitter.com/rZKmIUGedG
Johnny Depp is Suing Amber Heard
This was only days after he lost his case against Amber Heard. He was since named a “Wife Beater” by the Sun. Johnny Depp is suing Amber for “defamation of character.” He feels that her allegations had “derailed his career” all for the benefit of Heard’s career. Johnny’s lawyer had this to say. “The op-ed’s clear implication that Mr. Depp is a domestic abuser is categorically and demonstrably false. Her allegations… are part of an elaborate hoax to generate positive publicity for Ms. Heard and advance her career.”
Johnny Depp’s friend Baruch reported that the text was would not shine brightly on Johnny Depp’s case, but he also said. “I want this all to end – her to go heal, him to go heal. So many people have been affected by this malicious lie that she started and she created. It’s not fair. It’s not right what she did, and what happened. For so many people to get affected from this, it’s insane, how this happened.”
