Seventy-five years is truly a remarkable achievement when most people are struggling to see a marriage through five years. Jimmy, who is now a whopping 96 years old, met the love of his life, Rosalyn, now aged 93, in Plains, Georgia. Jimmy reported that after coming home from his first date with Rosalyn, he just knew she was the one. The two got hitched in 1946, one year after their first date. Jimmy was 21 years old whilst Rosalin was 18 – a spring chicken! Getting married at such a young age was not unheard of during that time, but it was a rarity. When you know, you just know, I guess.
