Elon Musk’s mom has urged the critics of her son “to stop being mean to him.” She believes that all the critics have been jumping on Elon simply because of the amount of success that he has had over the years. The mother of the world’s richest person defended him in a new documentary by BBC. In it, she also described her son as a literal genius.
For those who are unaware, Elon Musk has been going through a lot of criticism ever since he acquired Twitter for a massive sum of $44 billion. The acquisition did seem to be quite chaotic during the entire period. Ever since he acquired the company, he has fired around half of the company’s 7,500 staff. The list of people being fired includes a host of top executives who used to handle the safety, security, and privacy issues at the platform.
Elon Musk’s Mom Thinks Her Son Is Unjustly Vilified
The documentary in that Elon Musk’s mom appeared has been aptly called The Elon Musk Show. The documentary focuses on the rise of Musk to celebrity status, and his subsequent infamy after purchasing Twitter. His mother, a former cover girl model, did make an appearance in the second episode of the documentary. In it, she addressed the critics of her superlatively wealthy child. According to Insider, Maye Musk stated, “With those companies, he gets a lot of hate. Stop being mean to him.”
The report also states that Maye thinks her son is a genius. However, we can let her off the hook for that. After all, she is his mom, and moms think the world of their sons. She also went on to add that despite all the hate that her darling child received, there would be no one wishing to be in that same position. So, putting it all in perspective, Elon Musk is not an online troll or a tyrant. Rather, he is simply a genius that has been misunderstood.

It’s Not The First Time Maye Musk Has Come To Elon’s Defense
Incidentally, this isn’t the only time Elon Musk’s mom has stepped in to fight her son’s battles. Ever since Musk purchased Twitter, she has been in mama bear mode, tagging some of the tweets that were critical of her son. She has also been an avid participant in the crying face emoji chorus that Elon leads. Obviously, any outsider can see that she has been blinded by her love for her son. After all, Elon Musk’s prominence in cultural media stems from his penchant to be an online troll. He is not just the richest man on the planet, he is also a steady shitposter. It is a trait that links his and his companies’ profiles.
Nevertheless, Maye Musk needs to understand that her son’s actions are not devoid of criticism. For, despite the ability to do and say whatever one wants on the Internet- there will always be detractors, simply because of the same freedom of speech that Elon practices. And since the person in question has a lot of power in their hands, it is quite prudent that there would be critics analyzing his every action.
But we can’t put all the blame at Maye’s feet, for several other individuals have spoken up about their adulation for Musk. Dolly Singh, the talent chief for SpaceX, stated that once Elon completed “building his legacy, it will be unquestionable that he is a combination of Einstein, Tesla, and Rockefeller. He learned everything about Tesla and Einstein. He has learned everything that they knew and he’s trying to take it to the next level. I think he is the closes thing that we have to that kind of a figure in our day and age.”
