Finding a kidney match is no easy task, so when Uziel Martínez was a match for his girlfriend’s mother, he selflessly donated his Kidney. Unfortunately for Uziel, what happened next was not part of the plan, and a little bit of a kick in the face, although, we have no idea what their relationship was like before he donated his kidney.
Uziel is a teacher from Baja California, Mexico. Recently, he posted a series of TikTok videos explaining what he had gone through and how he had donated a kidney to the mother of his girlfriend, only for her to leave him and marry someone else a month later!
The Videos
While his videos did not really tell his viewers too many details, including if their relationship was rocky to start with, they still received a lot of kind words. Uziel says he has no grudges toward his ex.
“I don’t have anything against her … we’re not friends but we don’t hate each other. I only made the video for TikTok, I didn’t think it would get out of control”
And responding to others urging him not to make a similar mistake in a future relationship, Uziel joked:
“We just have two kidneys and if I already gave one, I only have another one for me, so … I can’t feel it.”

A Stupid Mistake?
While his videos obviously received a lot of support and concern, one viewer pointed out that while yes, Uziel had done a good thing, his girlfriends had absolutely no obligation to stay with him just because of it.

Others tried to make him feel better about his decision, some thought it was hilarious and that he had done a very silly thing.
TikTok user MAKEUP AND NAILS GLAM BAR wrote in Spanish:
“I already saw that if he had three he would do it again 😌😬😂”
And, another user called Random User✨🥶, even offered to get his Kidney back from his ex-girlfriend’s mother:
“Friend, I have some agents, if you want, we’ll take care of the lady, I’ll give you the kidney and her lungs, I’ll keep the rest.”
Of course, the positive comments probably made poor Uziel feel a bit better. User faby hola said:
“Life itself and God will take care of giving them what corresponds to each one. obviously you expect abundant blessings 😁🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏”
User Maria Quiroga Rivero was more concerned about Uziels health, watching as he ate what did not look too healthy, on his TikTok video:
“you have to make the only one you have left work less, Lower sodium, sugar and fat consumption!”
