The father of an adolescent child was restrained in an Ohio courtroom, relentlessly punching the man accused of murdering his son.
Desean Brown
22-year-old Desean Brown faces two murder charges after he allegedly stabbed 29-year-old Nyteisha Lattimore, the mother of the son he also allegedly murdered. According to reports Brown allegedly threw the 3-year-old into the Ohio River while still alive.
Brown, if convicted faces the death penalty. But the husband and father of the victims decided take matters into his own hands by sucker-punching the accused during the trial.
According to the Cincinnati Inquirer, Brown has been accused of stabbing Lattimore in December of 2020 after he apparently premeditated her murder. It was reported that after he killed her, he allegedly waited a week before disposing of the body in a bag. He allegedly called an Uber driver to take him to the Ohio River and when the driver inquired about the contents of the bag, Brown said it was just clothing. According to investigators, Brown had used the internet to search body bags, cleaning products, and bridges in Cincinnati. It was these searches that helped the Cincinnati police make the arrest.
During the week, from the time he murdered Nyteisha to when he dumped her body, Brown accessed her phone to communicate and post via her Facebook account so as to not raise suspicion. One post which was made on the day of her death, December 5th – read; “I love him forever Desean Brown.”
The motive for the murder was revealed in court
Brown killed Lattimore because she was apparently pregnant with his baby but then had a miscarriage. Kimberly Kelley, a Cincinnati police department detective reported that Brown was very upset by the miscarriage. She thought that Nyteisha had killed his baby which led to him killing her and her son, Nylo.
“He planned for a long time to kill her,” said detective Deters. “I don’t know what his deal is, but he absolutely planned this thing out for probably up to two months.”
Was stabbed to death in her home on December 5th, 2020 according to the local police. Her body was only discovered on December 12th near the Purple People Bridge. Detectives found Nylo’s blood on a Paw Patrol blanket. This along with her body and his stroller. But there was no sign of the 3-year-old’s body, reported the Cincinnati Inquirer. Nylo’s body has still not been recovered.
The Sentence
Was served with a contempt of court charge and was sentenced to seven days in jail. The father, Hughes, was caught on the Hamilton County courtroom surveillance cameras at the back of the courtroom before sneakily rushing to the defence table to deliver a few sucker punches in the jaw to Brown.
“Everything inside him, just the pain and everything took over,” family friend Faith Burton said, according to WXIX. “He did what I think any of us would do.”
At first, it took two sheriff deputies to stop the grieving father from pounding the accused by tackling him to the floor. In another clip from the courtroom surveillance cameras, Hughes was seen, handcuffed and continuing his pursuit of the alleged killer by throwing himself at him. In the end it took four deputies to apprehend the angered father.
