Johnny Depp to Have Camille Vasquez Represent Him Again in Court Over Alleged Assault of Film Crew Member

Just when the world thought Johnny Depp was out of the courtrooms, he has managed to make the headlines again. This time he allegedly assaulted a crew member on one of the movie sets he was working on. This crew member has sued him for “emotional damage,” and Camille Vasquez is to represent him once again.

Depp taken back to court

The incident in question is still lacking substantial evidence. There are rumors on top of claims made by both parties. Depp was in Los Angeles in 2017 while filming City of Lies. A location manager is a man named Greg Brooks, who has decided to sue Johnny Depp on the grounds that he put him through “emotional damage.” The details of the alleged assault are still a bit hazy, but Depp has assured his fans and the courtroom that it was “self-defense of others“. More details are to be revealed, but for now, we can shed some light on the basic facts.

Depp Vs. Brooks

Brooks claimed that Johnny Depp had punched him in the rib cage twice. He later added that Depp had yelled at him saying he would give Brooks $100,000 if he punched him back. There are rumors that Depp was under the influence of alcohol, but that is lacking proof. The script supervisor is a woman named Emma Danhoff, and she has come forward as a witness.

According to Emma, Brooks had shouted racially derogatory words at an African-American homeless woman who was in his was while working on set.

Danhoff said she was only 25 feet away from Depp when the berating from Brooks occurred. “He immediately stood up from our shared seat on the edge of a planter bench and went over to Brooks to stand up for the woman,” Danhoff recalled. “Mr. Depp said to Mr. Brooks, ‘You can’t talk to her like that. Do you think she is something less than you? Who do you think you are? How dare you?’”

According to Brooks, the story is quite different. He claimed that he had been nervous for Depp had been extremely volatile. While shooting, Brooks had to inform Depp they had one more shot left for the scene, and Depp did not take too kindly to that. According to the report made by Brooks, Depp had punched him twice in the rib cage while yelling: “Who the f*** are you? You have no right to tell me what to do.”

Depp and Brooks took a Selfie

During Depp’s deposition, he said: “I had my assistant bring a bottle of wine. And we toasted in I think paper cups. And, you know, no harm, no foul. I apologized. He apologized. Gave him a hug. We embraced. You know, I hugged him. And everything was cool. As a matter of fact, he asked for a selfie with me. And so I took a selfie with him.”
